This monitor is wonderful and allowed my husband to hear our baby’s heart beat within a few minutes. My only issue is that the second earphone jack is VERY sensitive and almost blew his eardrums out. And, we just used water and it worked great!

I originally purchased a more expensive doppler on Amazon (from a third party seller) and was sent an inferior product to what I ordered. I returned that one and decided to give the AngelSounds doppler a try instead. I’m so glad I did.
I wasn’t looking for a sophisticated model that would tell me the heart rate or any of the other bells and whistles. I just wanted to be able to hear my baby’s heartbeat to reassure me.
I started using this at about 17 weeks and have consistenly found the heartbeat every time. Since I have already had several appointments where the doctor listened to the heartbeat, I knew the general area to start looking in. I love hearing not just my baby’s heartbeat but also her movements as she swims around and even gives the probe a kick every now and then.
I’m also plus size and carry most of my extra weight in my belly and still have no problems. I did cover the battery slot with a piece of electrical tape because I found that the ultrasound gel was getting into the battery compartment and I didn’t want to ruin it. Now that I’m a little more adept at using the device, I don’t get the gel everywhere but in the beginning it was kind of a mess.
For the price, you can’t beat this doppler.

I bought the Angelsounds Fetal Doppler when I was about 21 weeks pregnant, it works like a charm. Just this morning I was a little worried that the baby wasn’t moving at its usual time and all I had to do was listen and there it was – that fabulous sound of my baby’s heart beat. It has offered me and my husband nothing but reassurance and comfort. It is the best investment I could have made for this pregnancy. The amazing thing is that it is so inexpensive that almost any worried mother to be could purchase one, it is a fraction of the price of renting one for several months and it works just as well. My only regret is that I didn’t buy a few weeks earlier. Just a note, I didn’t buy the gel, thick lotion is not the best thing to use, but I’ve been using pre-seed lubricant that we had from when trying to conceive and it works very well.

I bought this item because I was anxious to hear the heartbeat. I had a miscarriage last year and have been very paranoid about this pregnancy. Each time I have been to the dr’s office they have not listened to the heartbeat and instead did a sonogram to see the hearbeat. I am now 18 weeks along. I tried to hear the heartbeat @ 12 weeks but did not have any luck until 16 weeks. I don’t know if I couldn’t hear it because I am overweight by about 30 lbs or because the baby has been so low in my abdomen. I have been able to feel movement @ about 14 weeks but couldn’t hear the hearbeat until later. I think it works fine for the price but would have liked to hear it earlier. I tried it without the gel and didn’t work at all. I ordered the ultrasound gel and it works great. I tried it with KY jelly and it worked also.

As soon as this arrived, I put the battery in and tried it out.

December 23rd, 2009 at 7:55 PMOn the box is says to use from 14-16 weeks, and even though I’m only at 12 weeks, it worked perfectly.
I used a mixture of regular lotion and massage oil. At first heard my own heartbeat, and after a couple of minutes of slowly moving around, found the baby’s heartbeat. A loud wooshing, galloping sound. It’s truly amaziing, and I’ll be using it every day
